The Moraiolo cultivar is the most widespread in Umbria, it is self-sterile and also in this case it requires a pollinator cultivar. It blooms in the same period as Frantoio and Leccino cultivars. It is able grow with limited water availability, typical of Umbria characterized by shallow, loose and rich in skeleton soils. The optimal harvesting period is from mid-November to early December.
