The Leccino cultivar is self-sterile and therefore requires a pollinator cultivar. It blooms at the same time as the Frantoio and Moraiolo cultivars. The optimal harvesting period is from mid-November to early December. The characteristics of the oil are excellent. However, due to the sensitivity to the fly and rapid maturation, it is important to harvest it in the first part of the period.
