Our History

A community of olives producers decides to buy an old disused oil mill. That was the origin of Colle del Marchese. After the modernization of the mill, the production of olive oil began. The olive trees are in Castel Ritaldi, Giano dell’Umbria, Gualdo Cattaneo, Montefalco and Spoleto.
The company increases its operations even though it is still faithful to its tradition according to which each member produces and collects the olives in order to bring them to the mill and to get the production for the family needs while leaving the surplus to the company.
Surrounded by hills and mountains, the Spoletana valley is one of the largest alluvial plains in Umbria, with the Clitunno, Maroggia, Topino and Chiascio rivers that make the soil extremely fertile and that inspired Virgil, Dante, Carducci as well as all the mystical verses of St. Francis of Assisi for Sorella Acqua.
The wonderful olive trees offer fruits from which the finest kinds of extra virgin olive oil in the world come. The innovation in the wake of tradition, the continuous improvement of the oil mill’s efficiency, the pursuit of quality make our oil an authentic farmer’s oil.
In 2017, the Company carried out an important renewal of its oil mill with a new crusher and a new 5-tank group with amazing increasing in the quality, taste and energetic taste of our products!
